Rock of Cashel

On the 20th of May Queen Elizabeth II was accompanied by Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh on a visit to the Rock of Cashel. She flew in to the Rock of Cashel by helicopter. It was a bit wet but soon the sun was shining. The helicopter landed in a field near by to the Rock of Cashel. She was greeted by  Brendan Howlin Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform. She was transported to the entrance gate in a classic looking car that looked like a vintage Mercedes. She was given a guided tour of the Rock of Cashel by staff.  She was told about the history of the Rock of Cashel. The Cashel Community  Secondary School sang for her Majesty during the visit. She met all of the staff of the Rock of Cashel and some of the Cashel Secondary School students. Saoirse Fitzgerald from the Cashel Secondary School presented the Queen with a bouquet of flowers. Once she finished the guided tour of the Rock of Cashel she left for a private tour of Coolmore. It was a huge privilege to have Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in County Tipperary!
